Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) marked a sensational comeback to win against the Mumbai Indians (MI) by a mere 12 runs in their nail-biting encounter on the last night at Wankhede Stadium, making its first win against MI at this particular ground in ten years. RCB posted a total of 221/5 in their innings through strong individual efforts from players like Virat Kohli (67) and Rajat Patidar (64), but MI came unbelievably close to the mark, finishing with a score of 209/9. Late hitting from MI’s Hardik Pandya (42 off 15) and Tilak Varma (56 off 29) nearly won the game, while RCB’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood helped their team to win the game accompanied by Krunal Pandya’s tight 4-45. RCB picked up another win of the tournament, while MI is stumbling in a losing streak.
